This privacy policy informs you about the type, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data when using our website and our software application Solobooks.

3. Hosting

a) Frontend / Website

Our website and web application are provided by the hosting service provider Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA.

Vercel processes technical access data (e.g., IP address, timestamps, browser information) on our behalf to deliver the website.

b) Backend & Database

The backend and database are operated on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.

Processing takes place exclusively on servers within the European Union.

4. Collection of Personal Data When Visiting the Website

When accessing our website, the following data is automatically collected and temporarily stored:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access

  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL

This data is technically necessary to correctly display the website and to ensure stability and security.

5. User Account & Authentication

a) Registration and Login

When registering a user account, we process in particular:

  • Email address
  • Password (stored in encrypted form)

Additionally, you have the option to sign in via Google OAuth. In this case, we only receive the data necessary for authentication from Google (e.g., email address).

6. Use of the Application (Solobooks)

In the course of using our software, we process the data you enter or upload, in particular:

  • Invoice and accounting data
  • Transaction and payment information
  • Business and client data

This data is processed exclusively for providing the features of Solobooks and is not used for other purposes.

7. Email Sending

For sending transactional emails (e.g., confirmations, system-relevant notifications), we use the following services:

  • Resend
  • Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC)

Processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement.

8. Payment Processing

For processing payments, we use the payment service provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland.

Stripe processes payment data (e.g., credit card or SEPA data) as an independent controller. We do not have access to complete payment data.

9. Error and Performance Monitoring

For monitoring stability and error analysis, we use Sentry.

Technical information (e.g., device and browser data, error timestamps) may be processed. IP addresses are anonymized or truncated.

10. Cookies and Consent

We use technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website and the application (e.g., session cookies). These are set without consent.

Additionally, we use the live chat service Crisp (Crisp IM SAS, France), which may set additional cookies and transfer data to external servers. Crisp is only loaded after your explicit consent.

When visiting our website, a cookie banner is displayed through which you can accept or decline the use of non-essential services. Your consent is stored in your browser (localStorage) and can be revoked at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

11. Live Chat (Crisp)

For providing live chat support, we use the service Crisp (Crisp IM SAS, 2 Boulevard de Launay, 44100 Nantes, France).

  • Session management cookies

The service is only loaded after your explicit consent via our cookie banner.
